Extreme & Skid Row @The Joint/ Metal Meltdown 5/30/15

Extreme & Skid Row opened for Twisted Sister at the Metal Meltdown show at the Joint inside the HRH in Vegas. Also opening was Great White, whom I missed due to the show going on super early.

I was happy to get to see Skid Row with new front man and of TNT fame, Tony Harnell, who fit just fine and sang his ass off to all the hits like, “I Remember You”, “18 and Life”, “Youth Gone Wild” and “Slave to the Grind.” The band was on top of their game and for the first time I ever have seen them live I was impressed. Great set.

Then came another band I never saw back in the day live, Extreme came out with a gusto that was very impressive for an older band. They played the entire album “Pornografitti” and Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt totally rocked that stage with all they had. Gary was so full of energy, while moving and grooving across the stage like a young kid. That dude was amazing. Also amazing was the guitar stylings of the mighty NUNO. That man was just shredding like crazy. I especially loved “Get the Funk Out”, one of the best Extreme songs and one that makes you move your ass. They ended coming up front with chairs to sing their biggest hit, “More Then Words.” It was really emotional and the guys just moved the entire audience. Serious nostalgic moment there. Great show by those guys!

Then came the mighty Twisted Sister but I saved that for their own album….
